Some pointers on travel to Barcelona: The hop on&off Bus Turistic ($23/2 days) was a deal, picked up @ PlazaCataluna. They might be shut down due to a strike. AparthotelSilver in Gracia neighborhood - also a deal. La Rambla is like Venice In LA - fun by day, be careful at night. (My photo on PNN was with a street mime on La Rambla.) It's 4 blocks up hill to Parc Guell - worth the hike - but better in the AM on a hot day. Fuente Monjuic has a awesome light show some Fri nights. There's 2 trainstations in town - one for local & one for out of town trains. We almost missed a train out of town. The station employees barely spoke Spanish, let alone English. My favorite city, but Nurnberg was a close 2nd, on our trip.
